The US Northern Command (Usnorthcom) sends about 200 Marines to Florida to support the mission to immigrate to immigration the US immigration and the interior migration of customs (ICE).
Marines, which are connected to Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 and Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, react as part of a request from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Defense Minister Sean Parnell applied for the support of the US immigration and customs authority in Florida, Louisiana and Texas with critical administrative and logistical functions in places led by ICE.

Parnell approved a total mobilization of 700 in order to include active people, national guard and reserve troops. The marines are in the first wave of support from Usnorthcom.
“The service members participating in this mission will strictly do not fulfill statutory enforcement tasks within the ice facilities. Your role focuses on administrative and logistical tasks, and you are expressly prohibited from direct contact with individuals in ice custody or participation in one aspect of the custody chain,” says a statement released by Usnorthcom.
In his explanation, Parnell said that the support would make some of the unnecessary burdens easier for law enforcement.

“This support offers critical resources to support the mission of IC and to free the law enforcement officer, to focus on tasks and missions of law enforcement. The department is still obliged to secure 100% operating control of the border,” says the explanation.
The US Air Force And the navy has also taken over positions on the state along the southern border under a guideline by Defense Minister Pete Hegseth.
The area, an approximately 250 miles long route in the Cameron and Hidalgo counties in Texas, is transferred to control the Air Force and will fall under the jurisdiction of the common basis of San Antonio. It is managed as part of a newly established national defense area (NDA).
