Deciphering Donald Trump: How his rhetoric sends different messages

Among the critics who posted on the X Sunday after My Fox News Show Was someone who presented a dispute who surprised me.

Don’t pay attention to what President Trump says that this person wrote. Pay attention to what he is doing.

This is a new idea. What the President of the United States says is unimportant and should be ignored. I doubt that this person is the same standard President Joe Biden.

And yet there is an interesting exercise of thought here. Trump says a lot of things, especially since he speaks to journalists practically every day. Not everything increases to the same level of seriousness. I say that as someone who has interviewed him many times over the years, including our sitdown two weeks before the election.

Interview by Donald Trump: A lightning and a new final message at the last minute

Sometimes the president says things just to pick up the press. Sometimes he says things that are not true or are exaggerated or are taken from the context.

But more often he says that the quiet part goes out loud and signals what he is doing or lending the people with whom he does not agree, the kind of things that reporters previously did not have to attribute helpers, and he does it in front of the cameras.

Ukraine is currently at the top of the list. Donald Trump Is a clever guy, he knows that Russia has penetrated its much smaller sovereign neighbors to wipe it off the map and put it under the control of Moscow. But he decided to blame Ukraine for the beginning of the war and the insult to the Volodomyr Zelenskyy as a dictator if everyone knows that the Vladimir Putin label describes perfectly.

The most non -profit interpretation is that Trump believes that the only way to end the war is through an alliance with Putin for a settlement that could then be sold to Ukraine. (The United States voted Russia against a UN resolution yesterday that condemned the invasion.)

Of course, Trump got together on Putin for a long time. During her Helsinki summit during the first term, President Putin’s rejection accepted that the Kremlin had chopped in democratic emails despite the evidence collected by his own secret services.

Trump has repeatedly repeated that Zelenskyy is responsible for the war, which was characterized by his three -year anniversary. Pull this to the American public or in Moscow or Kyiv (to exert pressure About Ukraine)?

Journalists keep asking Trump Adjutants and Republican supporters if they agree to the president’s guilt, and many have simply tried to distract the question.

In my “Media Buzz” interview with Jason Miller, the long -time Trump Confidante and Senior Adviser of the Trump Transition Team, he avoided the president.

“What President Trump did,” he said, “is that he forced the pages to the table to actually stop the killing and develop a peace agreement. In recent years, Joe Biden has been completely incompetent and did nothing but more Killing and more death functions and financing.

When I tried again, Miller said about his boss that “his heir would really be as a peace prison”.

I came back a third time and quoted conservative radio presenter Mark Levin with the words: “This is sick. Ukraine has not started this war. What should you do? Rolling yourself and playing dead?”

And I asked: “Why does President Trump accuse Zelenskyy for the beginning of the war?”

Trump seems to pursue a “guilt of Ukraine” approach when it comes to the country’s invasion of Russia. However, there is an important question: Is there a strategy behind it or does it just end? (Kay Nietfeld/Picture Alliance/Curtis Means/Daily Mail/Bloomberg)

“Well, Zelenskyy is a lot of fault. I think that would also go. But again you want to look into the past, I want to look into the future what we do to save life.”

Jason Miller did his job. A similar scenario that took place in the other Sunday shows.

On “Fox News Sunday” my colleague Shannon Bream, Defense Minister Pete Hegseth asked whether it was fair to say that Russia was not provoked when Ukraine attacked. He replied that it was “fair to say that it is a very complicated situation”.

Hegseth emphasized that Trump wants to end the war and said: “You are good, you are bad; you are a dictator, you are not a dictator, you have entered, you didn’t do it.” It is not useful.

Another part of my Sunday interview also illuminated Trump’s language use.

The President had said reporters: “I think we should rule that Columbia districtMake it absolutely flawlessly beautiful. ”

The district has had the houseman for 50 years, although the congress retains the authority to overthrow its laws. Like most cities, the capital grabs crime, poverty and other urban diseases.

I asked Point Blank: Is the President ready to end the home bar in DC?

Miller said Mayor Muriel Bowser did a good job and added: “I think the Columbia district.”

So in this case Trump’s words had a different meaning as a warning signal for the district.

Oh, I also wondered why Trump Kanada repeatedly referred to as the 51st state if that won’t happen.

“The president has a bit of fun with it. But he also makes some very serious points.”

My online critic was wrong. It is important to pay attention to the President’s words, especially for the media that tend to overreact to part of his language. The challenge is to decipher when he is dead when he sends signals and if he only trolls.
