A group of anti-Israel students protesters Columbia University On Saturday, the Trump administration’s decision criticized more than 400 million US dollars of federal grants to the university because of their alleged failure to remedy anti -Semitism on campus after the attack against Israel on October 7, 2023.

“The announcement by the Trump government that she wants to cancel 400 million US dollars in federal granting and contracts in Columbia is a transparent fear tactics,” the group wrote on an Instagram slide show. “The decision has nothing to do with the invented charges of anti -Semitism that you use as a thin cover for Slash funding.”
“The Federal Government again tries to extend the genocide supported by the United States and the ethnic cleaning of the Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank by redirecting the outrage of the role of the United States in the genocide of the decolonial student demonstrators, which they described unfounded,” the post continued.

The group said the last two months of a “hack job” by President Donald Trump And his senior advisor Elon Musk to “destroy” “public institutions” has “made it clear that the billionaires in the government systematically dismantled any institution that does not enrich them privately.
The interim president of the university, Katrina Armstrong, reacted to Trump’s funding cuts on Friday, in which the university takes the cuts “very seriously” and is ready to work with the federal government with its “legitimate concerns”.
“When I took on the role of the Interim President in August 2024, I knew that Columbia needed to reset the previous year and the chaos of the camps and protests on our campus,” wrote Armstrong. “The university also had to acknowledge and repair the damage of our Jewish students who were unsure or undesirable on our campus last spring to feel unsafe or undesirable.”

“The institution will never bring us to safety,” she continued. “These cuts will not hurt Armstrong’s bags, instead our most marginalized communities will be exposed to the main burden of their effects. It is up to us to protect us.”
The social media contribution contained several films, including one in which “Zionists never love you” and another who required “organized resistance to obvious injustice”.
