The captain of the container ship, which collided with a tanker with the military fuel with the US fuel, was arrested on Tuesday when the police examined the North Sea collision, which led to the death of one of the sailors.
The Humberside police said collide with The Stena flawless on Monday.
“The man who was arrested remains custody at that time while inquiries are in progress, and we continue to speak to everyone involved to determine the full circumstances of the incident,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Craig Nicholson.
Ernst Russ, Germany, to which Solong belongs, confirmed that the man who had been arrested was the ship captain. “The master and our entire team actively help the investigation,” he added.
The Solong was still burning and had come to the south after the collapse with the collapse Anchored Stena Immaculate Tanker On Tuesday afternoon, Mike Kane, the British Maritime Minister, told Parliament on Tuesday afternoon.
Transport secretary Heidi Alexander said that after a meeting with the MCA, she was informed that “early signs indicate that both ships are now expected to stay over water”.
It was expected that the Solong was towed by the bank so that the rescue operations could begin, she added.
The Downing Street said on Tuesday that the “foul game” did not seem to be involved.
In the meantime, a fire on board the Stena Macular Tanker had “reduced”, the coast guard in Great Britain said on Tuesday.
According to Crowley, who manages the ship, the ship, which promoted up to 220,000 barrels for the US military, suffered a fracture to a freight tank.
Counter -shift measures were carried out and both ships were carefully monitored for structural integrity, said Kane. The crash, in which a crew member was also suspected for dead, had awakened the fears that it could develop into an environmental disaster.
The search mission for a crew member of the Solong had been deported, and it was “our working assumption” that the Mariner had died, said Kane. The coast guard added that all 36 other Mariner from both ships were safely brought ashore. It also said that a member of the occupation had not been taken to the hospital, but had been treated on site, contrary to the previously said the agency.
The jet fuel, which was worn by Stena Unma reaculates and belonged to the Swedish Stena Bulk Marine Services, was the source of the fire, added Kane.
The authorities still examined how the collision occurred. Information from marine traffic, the ship’s location site, seemed to show the Solong at the speed of the stena make-up while the tanker was in front of anchor.
“It is incredible (and) the riddle,” said Martyn Boyers, Managing Director of Port of Grimsby East, who was supported in the rescue efforts. The ships and environmental cleaning are “a big job,” he added.
Ernst Russ denied previous reports in which the Solong containers were loaded with sodium cyanide, a potentially highly dangerous chemical. The ship, which can transport 803 -20 foot containers, has “four empty containers that previously contained the dangerous chemical and continue to monitor these containers”.
Melanie Onn, Labor MP for Great Grimsby and Clleethorpes, said that the residents were concerned about the potential effects on the environment and added that volunteers were identified who could help to save wild animals if necessary. She said that questions about the effects on air quality were also raised and if this could become a problem.
However, the British health authority had advised that the risk of public health on land was “currently considered very low,” said the coast guard.
The department for environmental, food and rural matters had also “confirmed that the air quality at ground level for the weather conditions is currently within the normal level”.
