Agave Games raises $18 million to expand mobile title Find the Cat.

Agave Games announced today that it has secured $18 million in funding as part of its Series A round following a successful seed round earlier this year. Felix Capital and Balderton Capital co-led the round, with participation from E2VC. According to Agave, the company plans to use the funding to expand its popular mobile puzzle title Find the Cat, explore new game development and expand its team at its Istanbul location.

Find the Cat is a casual puzzle game where players, as the name suggests, have to find the cat. According to Agave, the game had over 10 million downloads in the market in the first quarter. Alper Oner, CEO of Agave Games, said in a statement: “This investment allows us to double the success of Find the Cat while exploring new ideas that will redefine casual puzzle games.” We are excited to announce our studio to take it to the next level by expanding our team and portfolio with games that push new boundaries within established genres.”

As previously mentioned, the studio plans to develop new casual puzzle titles as successors to Find the Cat and plans to launch at least two of them in the coming year. According to Agave, the plan is to focus on innovative game mechanics and social features while leveraging a dual monetization focus with in-app advertising and in-app purchases. Baran Terzioglu, CPO and co-founder of Agave, said in a statement that the new games will “push the boundaries of what gamers expect from casual games and introduce new concepts that we believe will resonate globally.”

Rob Moffat, partner at Balderton Capital, said in a separate statement: “Find the Cat is an overnight success, two years in the making.” Agave has assembled an exceptional team and worked hard to identify and optimize new genres and produce sophisticated games. “Find the Cat” is just the beginning. I look forward to seeing more parts of their pipeline come online in 2025.”
