Los Angeles District series Robert G. Luna announced on Friday that almost a dozen MPs were violated during the current unrest.
The riots began on June 6th as Immigration and customs authority (ICE) carried out raids in the city and the surrounding counties.
Luna said 10 MPs were injured after demonstrators had thrown stones, Molotov cocktails and “highly grade pyrotechnics” on them.
“We came across some interesting weapons out there,” said Luna. “[There is a] A big difference between the peaceful demonstrators and the people who come out with weapons to attack our people. “

The press conference focused on plans to fix the planned nationwide protests Saturday against the Trump administration.
“It is a good reason, but we do not want violent agitators who destroy property or commit violent acts against our police officers, deputy sheriffs and CHP [California Highway Patrol] Officers, “said Luna.” I just want to remind everyone that our MPs have a dangerous situation out there. “

Police chief in Los Angeles Jim McDonnell said that the LAPD was “fully prepared” for the upcoming planned demonstrations and “unprecedented” crowds.
“We monitor the developments closely and strategically use our staff and resources to protect public security and at the same time protect the right of the individual,” said McDonnell.
“When you come to our city to commit crimes, damage property or to damage others, including our civil servants, you will be arrested,” he added. “We will not allow violence, vandalism or threats to public security to undermine the rights of those who prove lawfully. We ask everyone to take part in the event on Saturday to do this peacefully and respectfully.”

Since the beginning of the protests, McDonnell said hundreds of people were arrested.
He added that an outcome lock that will remain into force until the weekend “played a key role in the restoration of order, in particular due to the containment of criminal activities, which mostly occurred during the evening”.
CHP soldiers will be an active patrol throughout the state and search for concerns.
