Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the president Donald Trump Friday to fall a “disrespectful” tone towards Tehran’s top guide or serious consequences.

Araghchi wrote: “The complexity and persistence of the Iranians are known in our great carpets that are woven countless hours of hard work and patience. But as a people, our basic premise is very simple and uncomplicated: we know our value, never appreciate our independence and do not allow anyone to decide our fate.”
Araghchi’s most provocative line came when he mocked Israel’s confidence in the United States during the recent military confrontation.
