A top consultant too Defense Minister Pete Hegseth After six months of service, the Department of Defense (DOD) confirmed the Pentagon to Fox News Digital on Saturday.
Justin Fulcher told Fox News Digital that he had officially resigned on Thursday evening and described the decision as his own.
Fulcher said that he originally planned to serve in the government for six months and after reaching this point, he decided to continue “friendly”. He also emphasized what he described as “great work” that Hegseth “did for our troops and our country.”
“The Ministry of Defense is grateful to Justin Fulcher for his work on behalf of the President [Donald] Trump and secretary Hegseth. We wish him all the best in his future efforts, “said chief -pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell in a statement.

In addition to advising Hegseth about personnel and politics, Fulcher played a role in several defense initiatives during his tenure, he told FOX News Digital.
Fulcher said that he had contributed to reviews of the most important acquisition programs that aim to strengthen the lethality and the US industrial grain, and helped to rationalize the templates for the procurement of software “from years to months” and to modernize important IT systems throughout the department.
He also said that he had supported Hegseth in high-ranking meetings throughout the Indo-Pacific, including the Shangri-LA dialogue in Singapore, and took part in efforts that have redirected almost 50 billion US dollars of non-fatal advertising bookings into willingness and more effective defense programs.
Fulcher praised the “committed men and women of the Ministry of Defense”, called progress in the “revival of the warrior ethic” and “reconstruction of the military” and thanked both Hegseth and both Hegseth and Trump card for your leadership. “Nevertheless, this is only the beginning,” added Fulcher.
Fulcher, who had served as Hegseth’s senior consultant since April, announced his departure in a message on Saturday afternoon Posted after X.
“As planned, I completed 6 months of government service in my country,” he wrote, giving the experience “incredibly inspiring”.

“None of this could have happened to our team without secretary Hegseth’s decisive leadership or the continuing trust of President Trump,” he wrote. “I will continue to arise American war fighters in all future efforts.”
At the beginning of this year, Fulcher came as part of Hegseth’s Inner Circle, a cohort loyal consultant, after Hegseth had led to the Pentagon in Trump’s second term.

His departure takes place in the middle of a broader redesign of high -ranking employees in Hegseth’s office. At least six helpers have left since January, although defense officers have reduced the movements as standard transitions.

It is unclear which next step of Fulchers will be, although his explanation indicates that he intends to remain active in national security circles.
