According to reports, France reported that a man’s residence permit, who illuminated a cigarette in a war memorial in Paris, after being caught in front of the camera.
Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau described the actions of a 47-year-old on Tuesday Moroccan “Indecent and pathetic” after his arrest. Video recordings of him, which illuminated a cigarette under the much visited Arc de Triomphe, triggered outrage after it had been spread.
“The man who dismissed the grave of the unknown soldier by lit a cigarette with the memorial flame was arrested in Paris because he was built against a tomb, a grave, an urn or a monument in memory of the dead.

On Wednesday, France’s Ministry of the Interior announced that the uninhibited man had been robbed of his residence permit, Politico reported.

The film material of the incident shows that a man kneels next to the monument, which does not seem to be limited to visitors. He is seen how he bends over the flame that went out from the monument to find his cigarette before going immediately while the stunned tourists watch.
According to reports, the man has a legal status in France and was known to the policeaccording to local reports.
Patricia Miralles, the deputy minister for memory and veteran affairs, said she was “outraged” by what happened.
