I sit in front of four monitors in a café. One of these screens is just my laptop, a normal thing to have a Cuppa Joe next to. The other three are the portable ads of the Aura Triple Aero 15.6 inches per maxA monumental invention of aluminum and matt glass, which branches off and released over my computer Mr. Universe Vibes. Nobody seems to worry about this very striking technology monstrosity, and that’s a blessing, because with all these screens in front of me I can’t get rid of the feeling that I am the worst person here.
“Portable” triple monitor accessories with which your laptop work more pixels on spreadsheets, or for all multitasking you may need to increase your productivity. In recent years, cheap exhibition command centers have flooded social media as a life -chopping product. This setup has an attraction, especially if, like me, you do not find the cramped boundaries of a laptop display, but sits in the same room for hours every day and your special multi-monitor setup feels a little like hell for you. My usual solution for working from home is to use mine 11-inch IPAD Pro As a wireless external display. It is not ideal and I always wonder if I can have it in both directions.
Functional, not fashionable
The triple aero has three 15.6-in-inch, 1080p-IPS-LCD displays on a foldable, highly adjustable stand that is sufficient so that I can work with the right computer posture instead of being leaned like a laptop gremlin. The displays are just bright enough that I had no problems looking at them in a café filled in the window, but they may have problems seeing whether there is one of these windows behind the triple aero on a very bright day. The display sleeves and the stand are black and made of aluminum. Technically speaking, there are speakers, but they are hard and thin, and they shouldn’t use them.
At the bottom of the middle display you will find two USB-C connections: one to supply the screens, and the other to accept videos from your laptop and give it the performance. There are also three micro hdmi connections, each of the ads, useful if you want to connect several devices instead of a single computer. The Triple Aero has a 65-W power adapter, which generously contains two USB-C connections and a single USB A connection.
This is not a pretty device, but that’s not really the point, isn’t it? Buying something like the Triple Aero means admitting that everything you are looking for is a Hojillion display. In view of its utilitarian atmosphere, it irritates me that Aura probably put her port labels on the back of the triple aero for misguided aesthetic reasons. I don’t care in a stationary desk monitor that I will only agree once, but the triple aero should travel, and it is too unwieldy to turn around to make sure that I put things in the right ports. Aura also does not characterize the keys and lets them find out how the internal settings of the monitor can be adapted. I think I could label everything myself with a band strip and a Sharpie, or aura could simply put the labels on the front!
Expectations reduced
In fact, the use of the triple aero is a mixed bag, and I don’t just mean because it feels strange to set it up in public if you decide that. On the one hand, the matte IPS ads hold a fairly consistent picture, even if they are out of broad viewing angles. On the other hand, they are better for spreadsheets and text documents than, for example, for the fact, for example Oppenheimer. And they are not even good for the software with which they work with a monitor with very good color separation – for example in Macos, I had a hard time telling between the gray of an active safari window and the somewhat lighter gray of an inactive one. As a result, I always tried to type windows that I thought were in the foreground and not.
It is not just the color rendering that makes the triple aero unsuitable for more than just casual content. Driving the ads requires software – in this case, Instantview of Siliconmotion-The virtual screens on your computer compresses the video for transmission via USB-C and then the hardware decodies in the triple aero. This is okay for basic tasks, but it takes a decent part of the CPU force to run, and I have never hit a version that she doesn’t take with small mistakes. It can take some attempts to include it before your computer recognizes it. You may have to reorganize the displays all a few attempts so that your Mac actually knows which one is. The display can stay behind, with your mouse disappearing by chance and reappearing. The last one is particularly common when you try to watch a high -ranking film or play a video game. Perhaps all of this is fine if you only use the Triple Aero occasionally, but it immediately reminded me why after only a few weeks I applied with similar technologies to add my old M1 -Mac with a double display. You will not get these problems if you only use the three micro HDMI connections from Triple Aero. However, you need a computer that supports that many external displays that many of Apple Silicon do not have with a Thunderbolt dock that has three HDMI editions-and many.
The triple aero with its detailed form factor has its advantages. I like the foldable side of displays and my neck was grateful for their size. And since you can use the HDMI connections individually, you and two others can have an external display. I also bet that the re-connection of the displays in a triangle would be a very entertaining path to play with friends, old-time LAN party style. Even in the plus column, the triple aero is not overly shaky, even if two displays hang far from the stand. The invention is about the size of a large gaming laptop, with the stand being pulled as a handle in the suitcase style.
