In JuneHealy told the fans of the Glastonbury Festival Set that his band would not bring politics into their live appearances.
“People who see this in May – I don’t know – they may be disappointed with the lack of politics in this show and our upcoming shows and probably our future shows. I want them to know that it is a conscious decision” told the crowd. “To be honest, we don’t want our legacy to be one of politics. We want it to be love and friendship. I don’t try to be too serious, but you can go into the world and there is a lot of politics everywhere. And I think we no longer need politics. We need more love and friendship.”
During the performance – as reported by Variety – the band played “Love IT IF Wid Wid Wid Cating”, one of her most political songs, accompanied by an assembly with pictures by President Donald TrumpKanye West and scenes that represent the battles of immigrants.
