Jeep Parent Stellantis unleashed 41 million US dollars in Georgia Investment for faster provision of parts


Sternantis (Nyse:stress), in the parent company of Jeep and Dodge, their shares distributed on Wednesday after announcing an investment of 41 million US dollars Expand its part distribution network.

The project adds a further step into the company’s efforts to modernize and expand its North American logistics footprint.

The company announced that it would build a 422,000 square meter mopar-part sales center in Forsyth, Georgia, about an hour south of Atlanta.

The facility will serve dealers and customers in the entire southeast of the United States and optimize business activities through faster shipping and new automation tools.

The Georgia Center is expected to support around 90 trade union positions associated with the United Auto Workers.

Darren Bradshaw, Senior Vice President of Mopar North America, described the facility as a “critical investment in Mopar’s long -term growth strategy” and finds that they will give employees progressive technologies and a sustainable work environment.

An important function of the website is a 16,000 square meter autostore system, a highly automated memory and call platform.

The technology uses 66 robots that move parts of a dense grid of containers to workstations in which employees prepare shipments.

The system is intended to accelerate the fulfillment, improve accuracy and optimize the storage space.

The FORSYTH project will integrate energy-saving devices and environmentally friendly building practices and focus on the broader commitment of the Stellantis to reduce its environmental impacts.

Mopar, the company’s service and partial brand with an 88-year history, will manage the website as part of its network that serves Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo and Fiat vehicles.

The announcement follows the July engagement of Stellantis of 388 million US dollars in order to open a massive Mopar Megahub in Metro Detroit and the recently opened opening of a 64 million dollar center in East Fishkill, New York.

Together, the projects bring the sales investments of Stellantis in North America to almost 500 million US dollars this year.
