Shedeur Sanders was listed as the Cleveland Browns’ backup quarterback behind Dillon Gabriel after Joe Flacco traded to the Cincinnati Bengals Beginning of October.
The former Colorado star began his rookie NFL season as the Browns’ third-ranked quarterback. Gabriel threw two interceptions and lost significantly New England Patriots in week 8.
Although the Browns have lost three of their last four games and have a 2-6 record entering Week 10, they appear to have no intention of replacing starter Gabriel with Sanders.

The decision to keep Sanders on the bench was met with dismay by Cleveland-based ESPN radio host Tony Rizzo.
CLEVELAND RADIO host desperately pleads for Browns to use Shedeur Sanders: ‘Just put him out there’
“What’s going on behind the scenes? How can this kid who was rated as a late first-round draft pick not get on the field for a team that sucks?!” Rizzo said.
“They’re not even giving him reps! That’s on the coach, man. Stefanski has to answer for it, and it could happen at the end of the year, and it could come in the form of a firing. What’s going on?”

Rizzo then offered a theory how much Sanders was liked or not and whether it hurt his chances in Cleveland.
“Obviously someone doesn’t like him. Or… why aren’t you ready to play? He’s been here since April. I can’t believe this kid isn’t ready to play,” the radio commentator complained. “Why didn’t Shedeur Sanders come on the field? I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s going on. Something’s going on.”
