Nike × Hyperice

Hyperboot

Hyperice’s Normatec recovery boots are popular with athletes, but have the disadvantage of having to stay in place while wearing them. The Hyperboots feature the same air compression technology as the Normatecs, but in a wearable, high-top design, courtesy of Nike. While you do the dishes, you can treat yourself to a foot massage.

Each boot offers three levels of compression and warmth (up to 125 degrees Fahrenheit), adjustable via an integrated control panel. The two sync automatically when worn together, and battery life is around 90 minutes per charge. They have an IP54 rating, meaning they are dust and splash proof, but not waterproof.

Reviewer Kristin Canning tested the boots on her drive home after a day of snowboarding and said it was a game-changer. She was able to flush out the lactic acid and thaw out her toes before she even got home. Although they are recovery boots, they have a warm-up mode that also makes them useful before a workout to stimulate your blood flow.

Canning pointed out that the air pumps produce an airplane-like hum, but it’s not overly overwhelming. If you’ve already purchased your season pass and are doing your one-leg squats and hip rotations, there’s no better time to grab a pair of boots that will keep your legs fresh throughout March.
