Jones appeared on “The Katie Miller Podcast” on Tuesday and said it was “great” that Bad Bunny was allowed to perform at the biggest sporting event of the year in Santa Clara, California, and expressed no concern about his political comments.
“I think our Latina fan base is great. And I think when you think about the Super Bowl, you want the best player in the world to be there,” Jones said. “We are on a global stage and we must never forget that. Our game goes out to everyone around the world and it’s great to get the top entertainer to be part of our game. We have a mixed culture. Our entire society is based on immigrants who came here and founded our country. I think we can celebrate that. I think the show will be great.”
“I don’t think our game is about politics,” Jones continued. “I don’t think people are tuning in to watch politics. We’re doing everything we can to avoid politics. I think in this moment people will watch the game, they’ll celebrate music and no one will think about which comments are on the left and which are on the right. This is about bringing people together.”

Jones added that the Cowboys organization has “always been a firm believer that politics should never intrude into our game,” adding that they want the entire fan base to support the team and not just those who support a political faction.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also stood firm on Bad Bunny’s selection, while Jay-Z dismissed the criticism last month.
