British Prime Minister Kier Starmer suggested the former on Monday Prince Andrew was supposed to testify in the US investigation against Jeffrey Epstein.
Starmer made the comment to reporters as he traveled to a G-20 summit in Johannesburg on Monday, but declined to comment directly on the former prince’s case.
“I’m not commenting on his particular case,” Starmer said. “But a general principle that I have long held is that anyone who has relevant information relating to these types of cases should give that evidence to those who need it.”
Starmer’s comments came after the US House of Representatives oversight committee asked the ex-royal, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to submit to a transcribed interview about his long relationship with Epstein. He has so far ignored the request.

Rep. Robert Garcia of California, the Committee Rankings, Democratand Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, a Democrat from Virginia, accused the disgraced king of trying to “hide” from the investigation.
“Our work will move forward with or without him, and we will hold accountable everyone involved in these crimes, regardless of their wealth, status or political party,” it said in a statement released Friday. “We will bring justice to the survivors.”

“His tenancy agreement for the Royal Lodge has so far provided him with legal protection to enable him to continue to live there,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement. “He has now been served with notice of termination of the rental agreement and will be moving to alternative private accommodation.”
The palace said the censures “are considered necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations made against him.”

Andrew announced on October 17 that he would be relinquishing his title as Duke of York following the release of an unauthorized biography by British author Andrew Lownie entitled “The Rise and Fall of the House of York” in August.
