Tucker Carlson starts his own precious metals company

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is a source of conspiratorial and inflammatory content that one would expect to be popular with people buying gold Off-night TV commercials. Now, in a turn of events that just makes sense, Carlson has bought a company that sells gold.

Carlson recently Partnership with A gold wholesaler founded a company called Battalion Metals. The battalion says it is about “bringing integrity back to the precious metals industry.” The company’s founder and CEO, Chris Olson, recently published on an episode of Carlson’s show. In the same episode, Carlson explained how he decided to do business with Olson, calling Battalion “a truly honest gold company” that “offers regular people…full transparency and the lowest possible markups.” Olson, a veteran, previously worked for Treasure Island Coins, a coin and bullion company owned by his father, Battalion’s website says.

In an interview With the Wall Street Journal, Carlson seemed to suggest to the Journal that the instability of the modern era encouraged him to invest in something of lasting value. “We are clearly facing the end of the post-war order, and many things that we took for granted no longer are,” the media representative told the newspaper.

The value of gold typically increases during times of economic or political turmoil and uncertainty. As Gold, we seem to be going through one of these phases at the moment has developed particularly well this year, and, according to Goldman SachsPrices are also expected to rise next year.

In a quote posted on Battalion’s website, Carlson says: “When you realize that central banks are a scam, you buy gold. But what do you do when you realize that many major gold companies are a scam? You buy from Battalion.”

“Most people feel it in their gut. They sense there’s something wrong with the economy and the money they’re supposed to trust,” Olson said in a quote on Battalion’s website. “When clients come to us, they are looking for a way out – a way to regain their sovereignty – and they turn to gold because it represents stability and truth.”

Gizmodo reached out to the Tucker Carlson Network and Battalion Metals for more information about the latest partnership with Carlson.

Carlson has managed to build a specific brand and appeal to a specific audience. In June, Carlson’s podcast was ranked No. 5 on YouTube’s weekly podcast rankings. CNN previously reported. Since last week it was #10– just behind Kill Tony and the top show The Joe Rogan Experience. Carlson’s most loyal listeners seem rightly described as deeply individualistic and desirous of self-reliance and autonomy. In that sense, selling the specter of financial self-sufficiency to these same people (which gold always seems to enable) just makes good business sense.
