I was very impressed by Apple’s software support when it comes to Airpods Pro. Last year, a number of free hearing health functions were added as software update. This trend continues with the addition of real -time translation and the heart rate monitoring of these buds.
The translation can be activated by pressing both buds at the same time. At this point at any time Apple intelligence-capable iPhone (every iPhone 16 pro or later with the function) will pull the translation app up to iOS. Siri will then listen to the speaker before you listen and translate what you say in real time, provided you speak English, Spanish, German, French or Portuguese. I tested this with my multilingual woman, who found it very precisely with her Spanish phrases.
This is ideal for multilingual work or educational environments in the USA and for trips and should help people who have to fight with more advanced phrases or have to send a more nuanced message in their mother tongue.
I saw this function for headphones as activated Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 (who do this, but with Google Translate). Side by side offer the buds and the associated app from Google a lot more languages and a little better translation (my Thai mother -in -law was very excited to see how well it worked with Thai, which is not available on Airpods Pro 3), but Apple’s version is still more than welcome.
