A California woman was sentenced to seven years in prison on Friday after it was arrested for a weapon accusation and was found with heroin-filled Bibles that were directed to inmates in state prisons.
Lucresia Stone-Rojas, 46, was initially arrested on November 12, 2023 after a license plate had identified a stolen Porsche in El Cajon. During a traffic stop, the authorities found a loaded 9 -mm -Walther gun and ammunition, said the Ministry of Justice.
Because she has before Convention of crimesStone-rejas was charged nationwide of the illegal possession of a weapon. She was not charged because of the stolen vehicle.

On December 27, 2023, she was arrested again when the investigators of the federal government found packages and envelopes that were directed to inmates in a Californian state prison.
A search revealed two Bibles with 23 grams of heroin, the authorities said.
The drugs were hidden in the spine of the Bibles and prisoners for the delivery to two California states.

“Drugs in our prisons endanger both the occupants and the prison officer. It is not tolerated,” said the reigning US lawyer Andrew Haden. “Hopefully this case serves as a warning to anyone who would be willing to abuse the tools of faith and rehabilitation to maintain addiction and despair.”
