A Woman from Connecticut The defendant who held her stepson captive in a “house of horrors” for 20 years is asking a judge to force him to reveal the new name he adopted after escaping captivity, according to a new report.
According to court documents, 57-year-old Kimberly Sullivan allegedly locked her stepson in a closet for at least 22 hours a day since he was 11 in March 1996. He is now 32.
She argued that she had a constitutional right to confront her accuser, identified in court documents as “S,” according to a motion obtained by the court New York Post.
“The state’s position, without its claim to ‘victim protection,’ amounts to this: the accuser can assume a new identity, move to an unknown address, and the defendant, charged with serious crimes based on his decades-long relationship, must be kept in the dark,” her lawyer, Ioannis Kaloidis, argued in the court filing.
It’s appalling that they even had the audacity to demand this.

According to a police affidavit, S told investigators he made a living from the crime two sandwiches and a bottle water per day. He said he was given a second water bottle “for bathing.”
To escape his ordeal, he illuminated Sullivan’s home in Waterbury caught fire in February, Fox News Digital previously reported. When police and firefighters rescued him from the burning building, he only weighed 30 kilograms.

S.’s birth mother is reportedly angry about the defense motion and, in a new interview, is demanding that the court keep “that thing” Sullivan away from him.

“When you look at a domestic violence situation, you’re not going to allow the person who is the bad person to be near the person who needs to be protected,” the victim said biological mother, Tracy Vallerandsaid the post.
“It’s appalling that they even had the audacity to demand this.”

Vallerand reportedly gave up custody of the child decades ago, leaving her with her ex and Sullivan, who died last year.

Sullivan is held on a $300,000 bond.
