Crunchyroll brings more anime to the cinemas


Would you like to see anime in the cinemas? Crunchyroll hopes because the new monthly Anime Nights program wants to have it in the theater every month.

During the San Diego Comic-Con, the streamer/distributor announced his plan to put an anime on the screen for the third Monday of each month in order to “increase the past, increase the present and celebrate the future of the anime”. The titles range from fan favorites and anniversaries to “curated” TV episodes, and even the preliminary views of the upcoming Hot series Crunchyroll really want to advertise. Selected theater for the participating US chains such as AMC, RESTRIAL and Alamo Drafthouse will be part of the program.

“(This) is a common experience that honors the art form, invites fans into the world of creators and bring anime to life in a theater environment,” said Crunchyrolls EVP of Commerce, Mitchel Berger. “We are committed to the theater experience, and it is something powerful if you are surrounded by loved anime by friends and fans in a theater. It is a unique opportunity to connect with the anime community to honor stories that you love.”

First is Miss Kobayashi’s dragon girl: a lonely dragon wants to be loved on October 20, followed by the first seven episodes of Overlord On November 17th for the 10th anniversary of the anime. On December 15, Crunchyroll will offer an exclusive first look at an upcoming anime that it currently says nothing about.

Tickets for these publications are not yet available, but you expect you to be sold closer to the publication when you play near you.
