Ministry of Defense Civil population voluntarily report to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for temporary details and join the efforts to strengthen the operations on the troubled southern border under President Donald Trump’s priority.
In less than 48 hours, almost 500 volunteers responded to the obligation of the president because the tasks were available via USAJOBs.com. The recruitment agencies include customs and border protection (CBP), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) and Immigration and customs authority (ICE).

A DHS spokesman told Fox News Digital, the initiative reflects Trump’s “entire government approach” for the elimination of national security threats, including gang members and terrorists.

Civil employees were notified by e -mail at the beginning of this week and can apply via USA jobs. After that, DHS are coordinated with their respective agencies for the final approval. If approved, candidates can be used within 96 hours.
All civilian employees of DOD, which are in good condition in their current agency at least 90 days, can apply. The tasks last up to six months and roles that are currently carried out by September 30, 2026.
Volunteers offer logistical and technical support, including data entry, planning, case processing, linguistics and human resources. Civilian DOD employees keep their payment and services in the task of justification for overtime and at the same time gain experience in the agency and professional development.
