The Ministry of Justice (doj) filed lawsuits against four states conducted by the Democrat: Hawaii, Michigan, New York and Vermont, about what describes it as unconstitutional climate policy that threatens the independence of US energy and national security.
The step follows the president Donald Trumps Executive Order 14260, protects the American energy from state over -control, steered federal laws on state laws that burden the development of the domestic energy.
“These stressful and ideologically motivated laws and complaints threaten the American energy independence and the economic and national security of our country,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi.
“The Ministry of Justice is working on ‘Unleash American energy“By stopping these illegitimate obstacles to the production of affordable, reliable energy that the Americans deserve.”

The DOJ submitted complaints against New York on Tuesday and Vermont about the newly adopted “Climate Superfund” laws Contributions to climate change.
The New York law alone demands damages of 75 billion US dollars from energy companies. According to the DOJ, these laws will violate the constitution by the Federal Clean Air Act and violate the powers of the Federal Foreign Affairs.
“These state laws evaluate the penalties for global activities that the congress has to be regulated,” the Doj argued in its submissions.

On Monday, separate lawsuits against Hawaii and Michigan were submitted to prevent these states from suing fossil fuel companies before the state court for previous climate damage. The Doj argues that the legal disputes of the states would put an unconstitutional burden on energy generators.
“If states try to regulate energy beyond their constitutional or legal authority, they damage the country’s ability to produce energy and they help our opponents,” said Adam Gustafson, deputy attorney in general.

The Ministry of Justice asks federal courts to explain the laws of the four states unconstitutionally and to prevent them.
