Your guide to what Trump’s second term for Washington, business and world means
Donald Trump has described Xi Jinping as “extremely difficult to make”, with which the two countries are aligned against a commercial weapon troop that was signed in Geneva last month due to claims.
“I like President Xi from China, always have and will always do it, but he is very hard and extremely difficult to make a deal !!!” The US President said on his social platform.
It was not immediately clear whether Trump’s comments reacted to the recent direct contact with XI.
The comments follow Accusations Von Washington Last week that China does not meet the promise of approving licenses for the exports of rare earths, which leads to bottlenecks that close parts of the US industry.
This week, China, in turn, accused the United States of “seriously injured” the commercial weapon arrest that the two business powers had approved in Switzerland.
Trump and his officials insisted that a conversation between the US President and his Chinese colleague is necessary to enclose the trade dispute, but Beijing has not indicated that it has agreed to call between the two guides.
On Tuesday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi told David Perdue, US ambassador in China that Beijing “seriously and strictly implemented the consensus that was achieved on both sides”.
“Unfortunately, the United States recently introduced a number of negative measures for unfounded reasons that undermine China’s legitimate rights and interests that China firmly disagrees,” said Wang.
After the talks of the Geneva, the two countries reduced the tariffs to the other of the other for at least the next 90 days.
As part of the deal, China also agreed to expose or cancel or cancel non-tariff measures against the United States, but no details.
US officials believed that Beijing would relax the export restrictions for rare earths that Beijing unveiled in early April, and was increasingly frustrated over the slow pace of permits.
The Chinese said that the United States had violated the Geneva Agreement by controlling control over Huawei -chips worldwide, stopping chip design software to Chinese companies and canceled visas for Chinese students.
