Vibe coding is probably one of the hottest trends in technology, since it reflects a more comprehensive introduction of AI and natural language requests for the conclusion of basic code (in question of conventional coding – memorization that people should do down tasks).

Google Is Publication of Stitch, a new experiment by Google Labs to compete with Microsoft, AWS and other existing end-to-end coding tools. Now in the beta, the platform designs user interfaces (UIS) with an input request – and some developers Bubble.

“Google has fell the most powerful UI designer in the world,” Brendan Jowett, owner of Voice Ai Company, inflated in the AI. Posted on X.

The use of AI in programming and development is certainly not new, but the concept of the “vibe coding” – characterized by Openai co -founder Andrej Karpathy at the beginning of this year – is a newer concept that contains generative AI to automate the coding tasks that are usually carried out manually. This goes beyond existing AI assistants and drag-and-drop-no-code and low code tools: the focus is on the end result, not on the trip there.

“They finally put in the mood, accept exponentials and forget that the code exists at all” wrote on x.

The top actors in the field of integrated development environment (ID) include Windsurf (formerly Codeeum), Cursor, Replit, Loveable, Bolt, Devin and Aider. Anthropic recently started his command line AI agent Claude code.

In addition to Google, larger actors also want to use their claim: Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers its Amazon Q developer AI Assistant as A -Assistant. Add-on for developers Access directly to any point in your coding; Microsoft published Github Copilot Agent mode; Openai would like to expand its skills in the Vibe coding with its Codex update and the Codex update and intended $ 3 billion from windsurf; and agentforce writes about 20% of the code of Salesforce.

For its part, Google has recently also published autonomous coding agent Jules in Beta.

Stich builds Uis with an input request

With Google Stitch, users can determine whether you want to create a dashboard, webboard or a web or a mobile app and describe what it should look like (e.g. color pallets or the user experience you are looking for).

The platform immediately generates HTML, CSS+ and templates with machinable components that can adapt and edit developers and non-DEVs (e.g. instructing it to add a search function to the start screen). You can then add apps directly or export to Figma.

“Design is an iterative process, and stitch makes it easier by generating several variants of your interface,” explains Google Labs researcher. “Experiment with various layouts, components and styles to achieve the desired appearance.”

Users can select a “standard mode” that is carried out on Gemini 2.5 flash or switches to an “experimental mode”, which uses Gemini Pro and enables users to upload visual elements such as screenshots, wire grids and sketches to manage the platform.

Google also plans to publish a function with which users can arrange screenshots with comments to make changes.

Stitch is “determined for quick first designs, wireframes and MVP-capable front ends,” notes Jowett in his x-thread.

Some say layouts are “unreal”; Others call Bolt Superiope

Many users offered early praise. A listed one: “I tried to get stuck with a” crypto letters’ pocket bags “and it nailed the layout in less than 10 seconds. Unreal.”

X user “God of the command prompt” posted: “Honestly shocked that this no longer attracts attention. A real UI generator supported by Gemini with Figma export? Immediate application.”

However, others found the beta version less than optimal. Elizabeth Alli from Designerup outlined her experiences in one Blog post: The developer prompted the stab to create an app to build mindfulness habits. She reported that it “missed” the brand for design elements (e.g. the colors she was looking for) and was unable to click around because the platform only created a screen (and had difficulty generating the next logical screen or another screen in the following request).

In addition, there are not many editing options to choose from, and when Alli uploaded an image of a website she designed, it was not impressed by formatting, typography, color combinations and “dated” shadows and icons.

“I had much higher expectations from Google, since there are already so many existing AI tools on the generation of UI designs that make this much better,” she writes. “Your effort seems half baked at best.”

While it is in the beta, the polished edition of other offers such as Figma’s first design or Uizard -Autodieler does not “nearby”. “This publication seems to be a crazy dashboard in order to throw her hat into the ring of the Ai -ui -Design -hype,” Alli notes.

Other early users agree that Stitch can be shaky and overwhelming, that the designs are not quite there and that other existing tools are still superior.

An X user complained: “I used the same request that I have generated the target pages with other AI tools that return direct code, but the designs in the other tools like Bolt were so much better.”

It is clear that Google has to find out some kinks when it intends to compete with already firmly anchored players. Nevertheless, it is early in the Vibe coding game, and the users strive to experiment with a variety of tools. Therefore, it will be interesting to see the next iteration of Stitch.
