Google plays against Anthropic And Openai Since it is slowly adding adaptation and personalization and users give users more control over which data relates to the Gemini app.

Previous versions of the app burden customers to refer the model to a certain chat to the source settings, for example by mentioning an earlier conversation. Users can still deactivate the personal context at any time.
Michael Siliski, Senior Director of Product Management at Gemini app, said that the rollout was part of plans to make the app more personalized.
“At the I/O we presented our vision for the Gemini app: to create a AI assistant who learns and really understands -not only reacts to your command prompt as it would be the request of another,” said Siliski in a blog post.
Gemini apps are currently storing chats for up to 72 hours when the option for storage activity is switched off and other activities automatically administered in intervals of three, 18 or 36 months.
Temporary chat and data control
