House Dems demand ‘proof of life’ of Abrego Garcia after being denied meeting

House Democrats who Traveled to El Salvador Foreign Minister Marco Rubio wrote the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia and called for a “daily life proof” after he was denied a meeting with the Salvadoranian National, which was deported from Maryland.

Reps. Robert Garcia from California, Maxwell Frost from Florida, Yassamin Ansari from Arizona and Maxine Dexter from Oregon flew to El Salvador on Monday after visiting the country Senator Chris van Hollen, D-Md., Last week.

“We had a meeting with the message here in El Salvador this morning and after what we heard, there is no reason to believe for me that our government, the Trump administration, does everything to make his safe return home,” said Ansari.

“Since we were unable to get the answers that we need today from the message, we wrote a letter to State Secretary Marco Rubio 30 minutes ago, who asked for the daily certificate of life for Mr. Abbargo Garcia and asked for him to have access to a lawyer, and of course finally to request his safe return home,” she added. “And we won’t stop until this is complete.”

The Republican Senator says that Trump administration Kilmar Abbargo had deported Garcia.

Abrego Garcia, A 29-year-old immigrant who illegally crossed the border, settled in Maryland and received a protected legal status was deported to El Salvador last month. Officials confirmed in court that his deportation was an administrative error, although some top trump officials say that he was properly removed and claimed that he was a member of the notorious MS-13 gang.

On Monday, Frost said that travelers “officially asked” to meet with Abrego Garcia, but “at our meeting we were informed that the government denied our request here because this is not an official trip”.

“We are also concerned about our own voters; we represent people in the whole nation,” said Frost Reporters in El Salvador. “We get hundreds and hundreds of calls – people who say: ‘Go to El Salvador, do something, do something about the fact that the President of the United States speaks to send us citizens here to El Salvador in prison.'”

“We don’t want to wait until things get worse. We are here for the work of Sen. van Hollen, who heroically came here and his family and the world came down here for the first time since he was taken, that he was alive, that he was alive, and he was good at that time,” he added. “What we want to know is, where is he now? What is his condition now? His family deserves to know that people deserve to know.”

The wife of Abrego Garcia’s wife Jennifer Vasquez, a US citizen, published an explanation on Monday: “We are deeply grateful to the members of the congress and are now advising on site in El Salvador, which builds on the leadership of Senator van Hollen.”
