Controversial gold medalist IMANE KHELIF On Monday, a narrow message shot when the new head of the Olympic Games called for the category of female “protection” to “ensure fairness”.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue,” Khelif has labeled a contribution about the boxer’s Instagram stories.

Coventry said that on Thursday She had “overwhelming support” to take steps to protect the category of women in the Olympic Games in the middle of transgender -athlete controversy, in which the sports of girls and women in the USA, Great Britain and Australia were plagued.

“We understand that there will be differences depending on sports … but it was very clear from the members that we have to protect the category of female category primarily to ensure fairness,” said Coventry.

The new president added that there is “unanimous” support for the agreement on how politics can be changed, and suggested that the IOC from World Athletics Policy can inspire that the biological men prevents them from participating in women’s sports if these men have through male puberty.

“The membership showed that the discussion about medical and scientific research must be carried out at all. So we consider the facts and the nuances and the inclusion of international associations that have done so much of this work … to have a seat at the table and to share with us because every sport is different,” she said.

“But it was unanimous that the IOC should bring together a leading role in the merging of everyone in order to find a broad consensus.”

However, Coventry also said that changes would probably not lead to the results of past competitions where athletes were created with gender -specific questions. The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris were two boxers who won gold in the women’s competition, even though they had not previously passed any gender tests for international competitions.
