Jennifer Lopez becomes open about her divorce from Ben Affleck.
In a recent interview with “CBS Sunday morning”, “ The 56-year-old actress and singer discussed Affleck’s commitment in her new film “Kiss of the Spider Woman” and why she looks at her divorce from the actor, “the best thing that has ever happened to me”.
“Because it changed me,” she said. “It helped me to grow in a way that I had to grow to grow more confidently. I am now a different person than last year … I realized that the joy in life and these moments and really the life and everything that brings them to the lessons that it brings.”
She continued that as soon as these lessons have been learned, “everything will only be a little easier and you can really fly”. When asked whether she now has the feeling that she is flying, Lopez said yes and added: “I still have the feeling that I want to fly higher.”

During the interview, Lopez announced that Affleck was an executive producer of the film when they were still married and said he “helped” after she had told him, “this was the role I was born.”
“In a way, it was the best and worst time, because it was every moment on the set and at every moment I played this role, I was so happy and then it was how, it was not great. And it was just like ‘How do I work in it?'”
“It helped me to grow in a way that I had to grow more confidently. I am now a person other than last year.”

“Kiss of the Spider Woman”, based on the Broadway musical from 1993, was adapted on the basis of the 1976 novel. It follows the story of Valentin, a political prison who builds up an unlikely friendship with his cellmate when he tells him the story of a Hollywood musical with his favorite actress, played by Lopez.

The couple started the outcome for the first time in 2002 after they met the film “Gigli” at work. They were together for two years and even engaged before they went separate paths in 2004.
Both Affleck and Lopez married other people and founded their families before they came back together in 2021. After getting engaged in April 2022, the couple connected their nodes in July this year.
