A Jewish advocacy group blows up the Democratic New York mayor Zohran Mamdani because he shared a video that mocks Hanukka’s Jewish traditions on social media.
The organization, Stop anti -Semitism, Mamdani posted the “sick” video on his X account last year. The video originally comes from the Geeta Brothers Duet Group, a satirical and comedic duo that dressed for the performance in stereotyped Jewish robe.
“Zohran Mamdani released Indian men who turn Jews Cosplayern, Dreidels and light the Menorah,” wrote anti -Semitism in an explanation of X.
“Our holidays and traditions are sacred and not for their comedic pleasure, Zohran Mamdani – that’s sick,” added the group and marked the candidate for mayor.

Mamdani posted the video in December 2024 and added the caption “Happy 3. Night of Hanukka from Astoria and Long Island City”.
The video comes from the parody album “Punjabi Christmas Album Hits” by The Geeta Brothers 2015.
Mamdani posted Another video from the same album to Christmas Eve, this on “Jingle Bells”.
“I wish you all a Merry Christmas from Astoria and Long Island City,” he wrote at the time.
Mamdani’s campaign did not immediately answer a request for comments from Fox News Digital.

Mamdani’s campaign married the accusations of anti -Semitism right from the start. The self-proclaimed democratic socialist has several times refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, and he supported the BDS movement against Israel.
“I think Israel has a right to exist,” he said during a main debate from the mayor in June.
“As a Jewish state?” The moderator pressed.
“As a state with equality,” said Mamdani.

He later explained his opposition to Israel in an interview with Fox 5 as a Jewish state.
“I don’t feel comfortable to support a state that has a hierarchy of citizenship based on religion or anything else,” he said.

Last week, the founder of Stopantisemitism, Liora Rez, argued that the election of Mamdani’s mayor not only “catastrophic” for Jewish residents, but everyone who lives in the city would be “catastrophic”.
“If Zohran Mamdani were elected mayor, it would undoubtedly be catastrophic for Jewish residents of New York City,” Rez told Fox News Digital. “And we would even go one step further if the citizens of New York City generally suffer a lot because of its very worrying attitude towards socialism.”
