Jon Voight and President Donald Trump I want to “make Hollywood great again”.
Together with his special advisor Steven Paul, Voight submitted a “comprehensive plan” to the President to save them Film and television industry.
The 86 -year -old actor “Ray Donovan” was named as a special ambassador by Trump in January to bring back “Hollywood”.

According to a statement, Voight and Paul met with “dozens of leading film and television organizations (guilds, unions, studios and streamers) about which changes have to be made to increase domestic film production”.
The meeting was personally carried out with Trump on his estate Mar-A-Lago and included the SP Media Group/Atlas Comics President Scott Karol.
“The proposal includes federal incentives, significant changes to several tax codes, the establishment of co-production contracts with countries abroad and infrastructure subsidies for theater owners, film and television production companies as well as post-production companies,” the explanation says. “The proposal also includes a focus on vocational training and tariffs under certain circumstances.”

“The president loves the entertainment business and this country and he will help us make Hollywood great again,” said Voight.

“The American film industry and Hollywood is a beacon for teaching the American dream for the world and an engine for working growth and career opportunities,” said Paul. “It is important that we keep America’s leadership in film and television production.”
He added: “We look forward to working with the administration, unions, studios and streamers to create a plan to keep our industry healthy and bring more productions back to America.

“By creating the right environment through intelligent incentives, updated guidelines and the urgently needed support, we can ensure that American production companies thrive, stay more jobs here, and Hollywood again leads the world into creativity and innovation.”
“We have met with top managers in the film and television industry for months, and there is a broad agreement that the out of control has become a serious problem that has to be tackled now,” said Karol.
“This plan is to level the field in such a way that production here in America is not only a competitive option, but also the first choice.”
The White House and its responsible political advisors are currently examining the proposal.
