Major League Baseball The trading period is officially underway.
The Seattle Mariners The first Baseman Josh Naylor from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, the teams announced. Brandyn Garcia and Ashton Izzi acquired the Diamondbacks in return for Naylor.

Naylor, 28, was very productive for The diamondbacks This season. In 93 games, Naylor has an average value of 0.292 with 11 home runs and 59 RBI.

The Diamondbacks acquired Naylor from the last season Cleveland Guardians To replace Christian Walker, who drove up in the Free Agency for the Houston Astros.
Naylor made the American League all-star team last season because he had 31 Homeruns and 108 RBI with the Guardians.
“We are enthusiastic about adding Josh while we are driving ourselves ahead for the post -season,” said Seattle General Manager, Justin Hollander. “Josh’s ability to meet both average and power is unique and we are happy not to put it anymore.”

In addition to AL -MVP candidate Cal Raleigh, midfielder Julio Rodriguez and the left field of Randy Arozarena, Naylor will sit in the top of the Mariners of the Mariners’ slot.

The Mariners are 55-48 and currently have the second Wild Card spot in the American League, while they are second in the American League West.
The 25 -year -old Garcia gave his MLB debut with the Mariners on July 21, after rising through the team’s farm system after he was selected in the 11th round of the 2023 MLB design from Texas A&M.

Garcia had an ERA of 2.16 in eight appearances with the triple-a team of the Mariners.
The 21 -year -old Izzi was selected by the Mariners in the fourth round of the 2022 MLB design of the East Oswego High School in Illinois.

In 12 starts at High-A Everett, Izzi had a 5.51 ERA over 47 1/3 innings.
The diamondbacks are expected to be active when the trading period is concerned on July 31. At 50-53, the team had a disappointing season and was able to submit some players for drain contracts.
The third Baseman of the Diamondbacks Eugenio Suarez And the starting jugs Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly could also be on the move.
