Young people in Tennessee can lose their sweet 16 drivers privileges if they are found guilty of bullying other children, according to a new law in the state. The law that came into force on July 1 will enable the courts to revoke the driver licenses for up to one year for young people who have caught bullying or Cyberbullying Other children.
The measureSponsored by Tennessee State Rep. Lowell Russell, R., was adopted with a significant cross -party support. The legislative template received the supporters as a step in the right direction to combat bullying between teenagers.

The driving restrictions are enforced by the court, which the Security Ministry notifies Tennessee to prevent a driver’s license from being issued to people who were found to be guilty for bullying before a court. However, the restricted license does not include driving for extracurricular activities or social events.
In order for teenagers to be able to secure these driving authorizations, they must pay an application fee of $ 20 within 10 days of the court decision.
This new law is a continuation of the efforts of the legislators of Tennessee to combat the problems of bullying and suicide in young people. The new penalties only apply to bullying incidents that occur after July 1st.

“I would like to see a movement for working with the bullies in the future,” said Scott Payne, manager for Contact Care Line, a social services based in Knoxville.
“Mobbers are not only born. They not only appear. They are products of their surroundings. So we have to speak to them and find out what is going on in their lives that causes this kind of behavior to them,” said Payne Wvlt.
