“As has been reported, a shooter has committed an unspeakable act of violence in our building in Park Avenue 345. One of our employees was seriously injured in this attack,” says the message. “He is currently in the hospital and in a stable state. NFL employees are in the hospital and we support his family.
“We believe that all of our employees are otherwise secure and taken into account and the building was almost clarified.”
Goodell added to pay attention to all communications with emergency information because the situation remained fluently.
A NYPD officer killed in the shootout was identified as a 36-year-old Didarul Islam, an immigrant from Bangladesh, who, according to NYPD, left two sons and a pregnant woman. He was one of the two uniformed officials in the 345 Park Avenue when the shootout took place, even though he worked in the building as security for Rudin Management Company on Monday.
“We are deeply grateful to the law enforcement officers who reacted quickly and determined to this threat and the officer Islam, who gave his life to protect others,” wrote Goodell.
NYC police Commissioner Jessica Tisch identified the shooter, who acted alone, as a 27-year-old Shane Tamura, a resident of the mental health problems in Las Vegas.

Table said Tamura traveled cross-country, with his vehicle last seen in Columbia, New Jersey, 4:24 p.m.
The security video shows that Tamura enters the lobby in the 345 Park Avenue and immediately opens fire and shoots several people. Then he shot a security guard behind a desk with an M4 assault rifle, said Tisch.
Tamura waited for an elevator in which he left a woman intact before he brought him to the 33rd floor. He shot and killed another person before he finally committed suicide, the police said.
Tamura was licensed to wear a hidden weapon in Nevada.
The NYPD clears out every floor of the building to ensure that everyone was safe and no other shooters were present.

As part of his letter to the employees, Goodell mentioned the resources of the league that help the employees deal with the tragic event.
“As you know, there are considerable resources available to all employees, including mourning consultants,” said Goodell. “The HR department will soon send you more information about the available resources and use of you.

“Those who are located in New York should work from a distance tomorrow. It is understandable if you take the day off. In the coming days and weeks, the safety presence in the 345 Park Avenue will be increased.
Each of them is an estimated member of the NFL family. We will get through that together. “
