Zambrano-Pacheco is sought by the police in Aurora, Colorado, because of the first degree and threats with a firearm from an incident on August 18, in which the police and five other armed men are accused, broken into an apartment with a weapon.

Zambrano-Pacheco was arrested when the immigration authorities stormed an apartment building of the OGDEN Avenue in the Bronx in the early morning, the New York Post reports, citing sources. The building is opposite a public school.
Other sweeps took place in other parts of the Bronx and Queens and came afterwards President Donald Trump The support in the city increased in 2024. In the Bronx, for example, Trump’s voice rose by 11%compared to 2020.

Not everyone supported the procedure. Alhea Athens, a democrat of the New York City Council, said she would demand answers and measures to ensure that families are protected and human rights are respected.
“It is both discouraging and unacceptable that Community members are removed from their houses without proper procedures or transparency,” wrote Athens about X.

In one post on Tuesday, she said that she would monitor the situation carefully to ensure that the state protection guidelines are not violated.
“My office is aware of the increasing presence of ice all over New York City,” she said. “I monitor the situation to ensure that our laws are respected and that people are not violated. We have sent criminal prosecution guidance and it has to be followed.”
