Looking for one Missed an Android smartphone with a unique twist and Prime Day offers? Motorola is coming with a $300 discount on the 2025 version of the Motorola Razer Ultra (8/10, WIRED review) bringing the price down to a very reasonable $1,000.
Aside from its compact and unique design, there’s a lot to like about the Motorola Razr Ultra. This model Razr is available in a variety of colors, but at least in my opinion the discount is on the Pantone colors Scarab and Rio Red. They’re both immediately striking and elegant, setting it apart from the deep blacks and space grays you’re likely to find on other smartphones.
Our reviewer was Julian Chokkattu very happy with the performance improvements to this generation of Razr flip phones. The screen is also improved compared to previous generations, with a smoother crease in the middle that’s harder to see, although you can still feel it during use. It’s a large 7-inch AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, suitable for both regular use and gaming.
The big draw here is of course the outer screen, and Motorola has introduced new widgets and compatible apps for the smaller display. You can quickly check the weather, control your music or interact with various functions and take selfies with the outdoor camera. These features are only available on smartphones that fold in the same way and most of which are significantly more expensive.
The Razr has a number of new AI-powered features, whether you want them or not. The only one that really caught our reviewer’s attention was the “Pay Attention” mode, which allows you to record a conversation or interview in tent mode with real-time transcription and recap afterwards.
While we think this is the case the best Motorola smartphone you can buy right nowthe cheaper Razr models are also discounted. The The base version is down $100 to just $600although the The Plus model costs just $100 more, with a significantly larger $200 discount.
