The organizers of San Francisco Pride (SF Pride) informed financial concerns because large companies are investing financing this year.
Suzanne Ford, Executive Director of SF Pride, said that the show will go on, but the organizers have to make a smaller budget. Ford expressed the suspicion that this was part of a wave of companies that distanced itself Diversity, justice and inclusion (Dei) Programs under the Trump management.
“I am very concerned. Obviously there is pressure from the federal government,” Ford told A Local Fuchs partner.
“The sound has changed in this country. Companies are already insured their bets, and I think the people who, this is their hard core of their company, may rethink their investment,” said Ford.

SF Pride is a non -profit organization that operates an annual parade and festival in San Francisco for two days. This year’s topic for June 28th to 29th is “Queer Joy is resistance”. The event is one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world, which, according to its website, draws over 1 million participants a year.

Ford said that five companies learned their sponsorship for SF -Stolz, which led to a loss of around 300,000 US dollars, and FOX News Digital said: “The total budget goal is 2.3 million US dollars, and although we have already signed almost 1 million US dollar, we now have to absorb additional 1.3 million US dollars to achieve our goal.
The companies that have reported their financing are Benefit Cosmetics, Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, Alcohol Beverage Company Dageo and Wine Company La Crema.
However, La Crema told Fox News Digital: “La Crema is still obliged to do the LGBTQ+ community. While we had to reduce our SF -Pride activation this year, it was never our intention to start completely. We are in ongoing discussions with the organizers and it is our hope to find a way to the partner at this year’s event.”

The explanation continues: “Our company did not support the distance from the distance-we continue to support nationwide and in our back yard and maintain our longstanding partnership with Equality California.”
