The Senate voted on Tuesday to party borders to advance the nomination of Kash Patel, the president, Donald Trumps Choose for the FBI director and clear a process -related hurdle to set a final vote on the controversial Trump ally in order to manage the federal law enforcement authority.

Patel, a former official of the Ministry of Secret Service and Department in Trump’s first term, supported the redesign of the FBI, including the expansion of his role, to carry out Trump’s mission against immigration.

Patel said at his hearing last month at his hearing that the Democrats had taken out some of his comments from the context or misunderstood his point of view, even when he suggested that the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, to conclude and in a museum for to transform the “deep state”. The Justice Committee of the Senate 12-10 agreed last week to party lines to drive his nomination into the full Senate.
