The cloud native application network company founded in 2017, which collected $ 135 million in one Series c round in 2021 And has a value of 1 billion US dollars – offers tools for connecting, securing and observing modern applications, especially for those based on Kubernetes and microservices.

The company’s Kagent platform is a unique, native framework that helps DevOps and platform engineers to create and operate AI agents in Kubernetes. During the Innovation Showcases at this year’s VB transformation, the company announced the introduction of Kagent Studio, a framework with which the company can create, secure and manage their AI agents in Kubernetes.
Keith Babo, the company’s CPO, presented the new offer from the main stage of VB Transform. He said the framework targets to cope with the platform -engineering challenges by offering functions, including:
- Native VScode expansion integration
- Real -time reaction functions in real time
- Bilateral communication between communication platforms in the workplace such as slack and teams and the integrated development environment (IDE)
- Generation of automated cause analysis production
- Monitoring and diagnostics of the live infrastructure
“It is the first framework of its kind that aims at this audience, builds the Kubernetes for agents and is running,” said Babo in an interview with Venturebeat. “We wanted to make sure that we can bring this directly to the tools that use platform engineers every day.”
Platform engineers help to share the context
Babo said that the framework acts as a native expansion in the VS code and checked the boxes in many workflows of nuclear technology, including the reaction to incidents.
“So you may get a Pagerduty alarm that appears in your IDE. You can recognize it, and immediately our agents who run locally in the IDE will take up and start this incident. All of this is right in front of the engineer. So you can see that you are the actual charts and the protocols and the status of the core podes in which you are on everyday life.
The engineer then indicates the system to move forward (or not), so that the agent and man coexist and work together in the effective resolution of this problem and add partners.
He said the framework would enable the live injection of the context from the communication platforms to the IDE, whereby the analysis is passed on to the communication platform, which enables bilateral communication for people who work on this topic.
Salesforce for platform engineers
Idit Levine, the founder and CEO of the company, said in an interview with Venturebeat that she sees Kagent Studio as an “essential engineering tool”, similar to the CRM of Salesforce, which is of essential importance for sales teams in the entire company. She said that Kagent Studio connects context and communication via platforms and platform -enering tea.
Levine said that the winning of the “maximum probable success” was “great validation for us” and an indication of the company’s interest in her offer.
According to Babo and Levine, Kagent Studio has already achieved significant traction. It has over 1,000 employees, over 1.100 github stars and users who already run it in production.
