A jury in South Carolina awarded $ 700 million to the New York family of a 17-year-old girl who was kidnapped and murdered in 2009 Spring break to Myrtle Beach.

Angel Cooper Vause, Moodys 57-year-old girlfriend of Georgetown, South Carolina, Was recently sentenced to 18 years in prison because she had lied to the federal investigators about her role in Drexel’s kidnapping and murder.
On April 25, 2009, Drexel left the beach and Bar Harbor Hotel, where she lived to meet a friend in the nearby Blue Water Resort. It was the last time someone other than Moody and Vause saw the teenager. Safety material showed that Drexel entered the Myrtle Beach Resort that evening.

At 9:00 p.m. Drexel went alone in Myrtle Beach when Moody approached her as he drove a Ford Explorer and drove himself kidnapped the teenagertransported them to a remote campsite near his house in Georgetown, raped and murdered them.
Moody referred Drexel’s phone in the North Santee River and buried her body in a “flat grave”.

Vause is accused of having lured Drexel in Moody’s van and promised to drive her back to her hotel, according to the Ministry of Justice. She held her participation and details of Drexels Murder a secret for 13 years until the authorities found the teenagers’ remains in 2022.

“For more than a decade, Brittane’s relatives had remained imaginable that the worst scenario had held the truth back in the disappearance of Brittane,” said US lawyer Adair Ford Borough’s District of South Carolina in the last month.
“We hope that Brittane’s love can now have both the closure and a measure of justice that goes hand in hand with this judgment. May she rest in peace if she knows that her mother Dawn was relentless in her pursuit of justice.”
In October 2022, the 62-year-old Moody by South Carolina was guilty Kidnapping, rape and murder Drexel. He was convicted of life in prison.
