There are so many good televisions that we cannot all add them to our top list. Here are some great options that were either missed the cut or were switched off by our top list by their replacement.
Sony A95L: Sony finally replaced this sweet screen with the 2025 Bravia 8 II, which, in addition to improved colors and higher HDR brightness, offers similarly incredible image processing and university. This should not prevent you from considering the A95L at a cheaper price. With fabulous, intiberating image quality and an intuitive Google TV interface, this is still a premium package that is very tempting for a good sale.
Sony Bravia 7: The Bravia 7 (7/10, Wired recommends) is a beautiful display that offers brilliant brightness, naturalistic colors and suave finesse in the subtle details. The biggest knock is a very bad off-practice tour, which could be difficult to swallow at its high list price. Otherwise, it is worth thinking for fans of this Sony lighting, especially since Sony seems to discount his best QLED TV much more liberally than his OLED models.
TCL QM7K (2025): I had a love of hate with the QM7K. Part of the new precise Dimm series from TCL, its opulent black values and the contrast towards OLED heights, which match good brightness for some spectacular moments. The problem? The colors of my evaluation model were not kilter, with a strange green color in selected black and grayscale content. Fortunately, I confirmed that the latest firmware update from TCL has resolved the problem. The image processing and the colors of the television still do not start a premium TV, and this is the second year in a row in which I have found a disturbing performance problem with the QM7. You shouldn’t buy it for a full price, but if you receive the 65-inch model for $ 1,000 or less, it is a tempting choice.
Samsung Qn90c: Another potential offer, while it is available, the QN90C from Samsung (8/10, Wired recommends) was one of our favorite TVs in Bright Room for a long time. It is in a variety of sizes and combines a bright and colorful picture with many delicacies – especially tempting on a megasal.
TCL QM7: There is only one thing that retains the beautifully balanced QM7 (6/10, Wired Review) From our main list: a software error. During my review, I had a problem in which the adjustment of the SDR backlight was influenced by HDR, which can lead to serious restrictions on brightness. While TCL has resolved the problem in a firmware update for me, I have never received confirmation of a wider OTA fixes. Most people will probably not have this problem, so the QM7 is still worth considering, but make sure and check it before throwing out the box.
