US-Iran war worries forces former MLB star to question Trump support

The former Cincinnati Reds Shortstop Zack Cozart was a convinced supporter of Donald Trump When he defeated the former Vice President Kamala Harris for the White House in the 2024 presidential election.

But the unique MLB All-Star took over a number of his support for the president on Monday when Trump demanded mass evacuations in Tehran, while the tensions between Israel and Iran escalated.

“If Trump brings us to a war, I will no longer support him, and I am sure that most of them know that I love Trump,” wrote Cozart in a post on X.

In the meantime, the spokesman for the White House, Alex Pfeiffer, has reported that the US military had led Israel to an attack on Iran.

“This is not true. American armed forces keep their defense attitude, and that has not changed. We will defend American interests,” wrote Pfeiffer about X.

Cozart supported Trump at the President’s speech at the Republican National Convention almost a year ago.

“I don’t have it, but I can hardly wait to vote for Trump … I honestly never saw the party as United … you tried to kill our president … We can least vote !!” he wrote.

From 2011 to 2019, Cozart played in the Major League baseball. The native of Tennessee was a second choice of the red in 2007. He played with the Los Angeles Angels in the years 2018 and 2019 in the last two years.

He was an all-star in 2017 when he scored 24 Homeruns, drove in 63 runs and scored 0.297.
