Season two of The last of us the Midway (ISH) dot from very similar The last of us part II. After found and killed two more from Abby’s friends – Mel and Owen -, Ellie’s journey in Seattle feels like she could end. Especially because Mel was pregnant. That was not Ellie’s intention. And so she groups, Tommy, Dina and Jesse new and decide that it is time to return to Jackson, even though Abby is still out there.

At that moment Abby arrives. She kills Jesse and threatens to kill the rest. It is a tense moment when we don’t see the end. This is because the show cuts off black and flashes back for two days. Abby wakes up on a large WLF basis and we know that we will see what she has done all the time next season.

How did you feel that? Did you make the decision? Did you understand it at all? At a press conference last week, showrunner Craig Mazin made how he hopes that the audience will be at the end of the second season.

“I want the audience to feel thematic at the end of the season that (the characters) were not there, but they are not yet where they will go,” said Mazin. “That we have always given a story that we have told about the good and bad of love, but we change which side is good and bad. Sometimes we need someone who punishes someone for us.

“And we are, especially with the Veranda scene before the last episode, and we now understand that there is this idea that you might do a little better than me, we understand that both Ellie and Abby progress in trouble,” continues Mazin. “They are in moral difficulties because their certainty is to fail. And we can see it here with Ellie because they are confronted with the consequences of it, and the people who do not deserve to die begin to feel how a swing of the pendulum can be seen.

“The question we ask and the one we ask in this story is: If you have committed so terrible things, can you ever come back from it depending on the circumstances?” Neil Druckmann added. “And we see in this veranda scene, Joel tries to return from what he has done, although he hasn’t regretted it. And now we have these two characters who are on this downward spiral and try to do justice and we will see how far it goes.”

Do you agree with Mazin and Druckmann here? Talk about it or whatever you want to speak. On Monday, not only look at our last breakdown/summary, but also more from the show runners at the end of the season.
