A driver drove a car into a lot at a Filipino Festival Vancouver, CanadaOn Saturday evening, several victims were dead and others injured, the local authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. at the Lapu Lapu Day Block Party, the Police authority in Vancouver said in a social media contribution.
“A number of people were killed and several others are injured after a driver was driven into a lot this evening shortly after 8 p.m. at a street festival in E. 41st Avenue and Fraser,” said the police.

The exact number of dead or injured people was not immediately known.

The driver was custodythe police said. The motive for the person who drives into the crowd is unclear at that time.
